Pantone Brief

Mind Map

The current colour scheme for Kingsbury is baby blue, light pink, navy blue, green and red. This is the colour scheme for The London Borough of Brent, which Kingsbury is part of.

Kingsbury does not have either a logo or a slogan, it would be harder to design a new logo without references from the older one.

The current transport for Kingsbury is by car or bus (183, 204, 324, 653, 683, N98) with one road with two lanes that lead to a roundabout. There is also a bike lane on the pavement on the right line, and lastly, Kingsbury has an Underground Station which is part of the Jubilee line and is the fourth station stop from Stanmore to Stratford.

Compared with the London Borough of Harrow, which is the closest towards Kingsbury, the colour scheme takes a darker colour palette opposite to the London Borough of Brent. A darker colour scheme works better for me because it's more natural and perfect than an overly bright colour palette like Borough of Brent.

The City of Westminister's logo is a pretty basic logo, but one that's easy to get an idea for inspiration for what type of logo we can give Kingsbury. Case in point, the symbol featured on the Westminister logo is known as the 'Old City Shield', which dates back from 1601, so we could create one that is reminiscent of Kingsbury history and the local community that lives there.

For slogans, towns usually use a phrase that is in direct reference to the Lord, such as Brent's current slogan is 'Forward Together Brent', which refers to bringing everyone together to better help the community and town, which isn't a bad tagline or anything but feels a tad bit generic compared to the others. An idea for a slogan that fits Kingsbury could incorporate its Indian demographic, as that is the highest demographic in Kingsbury with over 40% of its residents in the town.

The transportation in Kingsbury, as mentioned above, features an Underground line from Jubilee, cars and buses that go to Harrow, Edgware, Wembley, Centennial Park etc. Given that Kingsbury is more rural than those four mentioned towns, I think any modifications towards the transportation will not be necessary, as I believe it is perfect how it is. But one modification that I think could work for the area is a taxi stand, where taxis are aligned to pick up passengers and provide them with an alternative way to a bus, and also making it easier to catch a taxi. This new type of transportation would be beneficial for an area like this where it could help someone wanting to go somewhere but is out of their reach from where they live to where they wanna go.
